Frequently Asked Questions

Are our pumps suitable for larger breast sizes?

Yes! We have received great reviews from women who do have larger breasts, who are very happy and find them comfortable to use.

What is the difference between our four pumping modes?

The Massage mode is used at the start of your pumping session to encourage your letdown. The Expression mode is a standard pumping mode which allows you to move up and down the 12 levels.

The Lactation Mode pulls your nipple through and holds it for a longer time compared to the expression mode. The Auto mode is a mix of the massage and expression modes.

When should I start pumping?

We recommend waiting around 3-4 weeks so your baby can establish a good latch during breastfeeding. However, it may take less or more time depending on how easily your baby latches onto the bottle.

How long should you pump for?

Many things will impact how frequently you should pump, including your baby’s age, feeding patterns and your own requirements. In general, we recommend pumping regularly for around 15-20 minutes at least 8-10 times a day in the first few weeks.

How can I alleviate discomfort whilst pumping?

We recommend starting with the lowest suction setting and gradually increasing it until it is comfortable. Whilst it may take longer to produce, a suction level causing you discomfort can result in damage to your nipple tissue. If the soreness has gradually increased as the day goes on, take a break to allow your body time to rest and recover.

How often should I clean my breast pump?

You should clean your breast pump after every use to prevent bacteria and contamination. When washing, disassemble the parts, wash with warm soap water, and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
